Come Tour My New Home With Me....

Hello Gnomads!

I was delighted to be asked to accompany Gnomad Princess Consuela Bananahommock to tour the new home of A-West across the street at the UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center.

It was beautiful! All new everything! If I were a patient I would never leave my plush suite! All the rooms are private, with their own bathrooms complete with showers and a flat screen television. From the new smoke deck you have a beautiful view of Westwood.

I heard from other Gnomads that our new home will be ready in early April. We'll see.

I can't wait to be Welcomed in our new home!

Merry/Happy Chrismaka!

To all my Gnomads... Merry/Happy Chrismaka! I was delighted to be asked to join Gnomad Princess Consuela Banana Hammock to celebrate Chrismaka. As La Conte Gnome posted earlier Chrismaka is a very JOLLY time indeed.

We began our day by having what is called "Chrismaka Punch". What is "Chrismaka Punch "? Well it's an adult beverage, and as any good Gnome I would never pass any adult beverage. I am always ready to experience a new tradition and "Chrismaka Punch" will defiantly be added to this Gnomes list for traditions.

For those Gnomads playing at home making "Chistmaka Punch" is easy, satisfies any palate and may be used at any get together. To make "Chrismaka Punch" you need Cranberry juice, Pineapple juice and Malibu Rum. Mix all together to taste. First add Cranberry juice and then add Pineapple juice (about twice as much as Cranberry) then add the Malibu Rum. A word of advice from this Gnome though, this drink is very refreshing and has a kick.

I had a wonderful time. I had many drinks and had more than enough food/treats.

One very unexpected surprise I experienced while visiting Gnomad Princess Consuela Banana Hammock's family... I saw some distant cousins.

At first I thought these wee eyes of mine were playing tricks on me. After many Chismaka drinks who would have blamed this gnome from thinking I was seeing things.

As I took a minute to daydream out the front window, thinking how the other Gnomes and Gnomads were celebrating this joyous season I saw a glimmer. No it wasn't St. Nick La Conte spoke of in an earlier post, it was a glimmer of a Gnome hat.

Were these wee eyes decieving me? Should I have past on the last Chrismaka Punch passed to me?

No I wasn't seeing things right there on the other side of the window I saw them, two larger than life Gnomes staring right back at me.

Gnomad Princess Consula Banana Hammock took me out so I could met the two Garden Gnomes. As you can see by the picture they were Garden Gnomes and not Travling Gnomes by their size. I was glad to have met Garden Gnomes. As Mike and Ike Garden Gnome told me about their lives as twin Garden Gnomes I was glad to be a travling Gnome. Mike and Ike Garden Gnome told me stories how that every Tuesday these men showed up in their truck and moved them from their flower bed home to other areas in the yard.

Unlike the Garden Gnomes I was thankful to be a Travling Gnome. These wee eyes have been lucky enough to been able to accompany many Gnomads on their adventures.

I look forward to the new year to see what the new year adventures will be.

HO! HO! HO!

What a Jolly weekend I had! I was overjoyed when Gnomad Princess Consuela Bananahammock asked if I would like to join her for a Jolly right time at Breakfast with Santa! I have heard of this most Jolly man during my young Gnome years! Would I met any of my distant cousins Elves?

Oh yes, Gnomes are related way down the wee family tree to Elves. No, not the Keebler Elves! Santa's wee little helpers that help to make the children's gifts.

It was the most festive time this Gnome has seen with these wee little eyes. All the children were soon joyful as they all waited so patiently for Old St. Nick.

We played reindeer games, ate a wonderful breakfast and even were amazed by a backyard magic show.

Then the main event... Santa Clause! It was the real Old St. Nick with all the yule tide trimmings including his shining belt buckle that had his name embossed in gold.

I am sad to report that my cousins the Elves were no where to be seen. Maybe the Elves were too busy finishing making all the kids on the "Nice" list all the goodies Santa is famous for.

The night would not be complete for any self described "Party Gnome" without partaking in an adult beverage or two. This gnome would give two thumbs wee up for Sierra Navada's Celebration Ale.

Happy Holidays to all...

From PA to San Diego this Gnome is always ready with bags packed!

As any properly raised Gnome I was taught to always keep a bag pack with the essentials because you have to be ready to travel at any given time. I always keep a bag stocked with the essentials ready to go when ever I am asked to accompany a Gnomad on their trip. I take my life as a Traveling Party Gnome very seriously. There are rules to follow to insure my safety, picture rules, rules when to drop me off and pick me up for a travel engagement and rules on how to have fun. Both my Official Travel Agent and I knew we had nothing to worry about when I was asked to accompany Gnomad KFC on her trip to the East Coast, Florida, San Diego and yes I even was able to go international South of the boarder.
We left for our trip via LAX to Pennsylvania. I love plane rides. I love in flight movies, little bags of peanuts and those cozy little cardboard pillows. Not to mention the preflight emergency instructions, however the flight personal always seem to forget to tell you NOT TO FORGET YOUR GNOME IN CASE OF EMERGENCY, sorry I had to let a wee little steam off about that. Thanks for letting me vent.

Our first stop was to Pennsylvania. Here we attended a birthday party for KFC's dad. I love birthday party's. What isn't there to love. You have a celebration for someone you love and that could only mean one thing... yep Party complete with this Gnome sitting on the birthday boy's cake, indulging in some alcoholic beverages eating some great food, dancing and laughing having a blast!

Our next stop on our East Coast vacation was to Maryland. I was so excited to visit a land named for Mary. Who is this Mary? Why does she have a whole land named for her? How can this Gnome get a whole land named for him? I hoped I could find this Mary and find the answers to my many questions. Since I was in Maryland I dined on local eats which included a hard seafood confection called crab. This Gnome may have never met Mary, however I loved the local crab! You can see in the picture to the right you can see my stuff belly sitting on a mound of shells. Thank you Mary for such hospitality and a great feast! I love your land!

On ward Gnome! Next stop a magical world. KFC was not joking we she said we were off to a land of little cartoon people and great adventure. The world famous Disney World and Epcot center was our next stop in Florida. Epcot center was amazing! Huge! Lucky for this Gnome I have little legs and I don't take much room if I need to retreat to a backpack. I'm glad to report there were no Alligator sightings. Just lots of joyful people signing a catchy little tune.

International Gnome is what some of my close Gnome friends call me. I heard the call of the cervasa and chips and salsa. So south of the boarder I go! KFC and company are great! They really know how to treat a Gnome! My glass never went dry. I was able to practice my Spanish and enjoy shopping at bargain prices.

Did someone say wine? Did you call me a wine-o? Not yet, but you may after you hear Gnome stories about my trip with KFC to San Diego Wine Country. I tasted some great wines.

It may seem like a life of a Party Gnome is easy, however some times it's nice to come home unpack, take a nice bath and sleep in your own bed.

I am pack and ready for my next adventure.

Woody The Gnome

Woody Roaming Free in Belize!

Ancient Mayan Ruins in Guatemala who could pass that up right? Not this Gnome! I was up for yet another passport adventure when I was asked to join Gnomad Princess Spring Summer Winter Fall and Gnomad Cupcake on a trip to Belize. We had a great time snorkeling where we saw Morey Eels and sharks. We took in the warm sunshine and swam in the clear waters off the beach. The highlight of the trip was the Ancient Mayan ruins in Guatemala! What an amazing time was had by all the Gnomads! Thanks for taking this little Gnome on yet another great vacation. I will admit I am one lucky Gnome! In the pics you can see some of the wonderful sights I saw with these wee little eyes of mine. If you look closely you can see me in the Palm Tree.
Woody the Gnome

Guess Who's Back...Back Again...Woody's Back!

Well it's time to update my travel log! I have been on many adventures in the last few months, and since I have finally found my way back home to A-West I can finally take a breath and blog.

Woody in Sin City!

Since my "extended" vacation to the Cooks Islands, New Zealand and Australia I felt well rested and ready to return to my travel engagements.
I was overjoyed to have the chance to accompany a Gnomad to Las Vegas. I had heard nothing but rave reviews from my twin West. I would have to be on my best Gnome behavior during a Sorority meeting, other than that I could party like the rock star I am.
It was a pleasant time in "Sin City". I was able to mingle with many different people from the US during the annual Sorority meeting. I enjoyed pretending that I was the "regional director", drinking, playing slots till my wee eyes were blurred (or were my eyes blurred from too much of my favorite beverage?), and just enjoying being a party Gnome.
Lucky for this Gnome Las Vegas is close to home and I know I will soon return.

Go Dodger Blue!!

I was so excited for my next adventure, a Gnomad asked me to join her for a Los Angeles Dodger Baseball game. As you might have guess from the other pictures posted a little Gnome fact is Gnomes love baseball. How could Gnomes not love baseball with the perfect manicured fields?
We had a blast watching the Dodgers take on the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates. It was Jason Schmidt t-shirt give away night too. Unfortunately for this Gnome the Dodgers didn't realize the need for Gnome size t-shirts, so I missed out on the give-a-way.
I ate a famous Dodger Dog hot dog, peanuts and Cracker Jacks. I had a blast doing the traditional Dodger wave during the sixth inning. I went home horse after singing to the top of these wee little lungs "Take Me Out To the Ballgame" during the seventh inning stretch.
I had a lot of fun and can't wait to catch my next game some time in the near future.

Gnomads rejoice as Woody is safely returned!

After a delay in the hand off... Woody GD Gnome was safely returned to Queen Nana Nunu Gnomad! It was a delay that must not be repeated! May all Gnomads learn from this... if you fail to follow The Party Gnome Laws then there are consequences.
Following the "Gnome abduction", the Gnomads held their monthly spontaneous meeting. During the April meeting a vote was taken and majority ruled that the offending Gnomad would be penalized for failing to uphold their Gnomad duties and thus breaking The Party Gnome Rule #4. The Gnomads voted that the offending Gnomad would not be granted travel itineraries for future Gnome travel, unless there are no other Gnomads requesting itineraries within the same two week period.
We can not have Gnomads missing their Gnome hand offs. It is unfair to the Gnomad that has requested and been granted Gnome travel itineraries. So please be aware of the travel dates of Gnomads after you so that we all can experience traveling with the Gnomes!

Woody has gone MIA

Woody had committed to travel with a Gnomad to the Cook Islands, New Zealand and Australia. Woody would be traveling to three remarkable places and would be gone for almost three weeks.
According to rule #4 of the Party Gnome Laws " The Party Gnome must be returned to the Party Gnomes Official Travel Agent upon your first day back at work."
Woody was back from his travel on March 28, 2007, however he has yet been returned.
After a Gnome meeting on March 27, 2007 The Party Gnome Official Travel Agent contacted the Gnomad in which Woody was in their custody and reminded that he was to be returned. The Gnomads made arrangements to make the "Woody hand off". The "Woody hand off" has yet to take place.
This Woody GD Gnome abduction has the Gnomads very concerned. Woody missed an engagement he had committed to earlier this month.
Gnomes become very irritable when they become satanic. Gnomes need to explore and experience new surroundings with many different people and personalities to live life to the fullest a Gnome can.
If you see a captive Gnome... proceed with caution. After ensuring your safety and the safety of the Gnome ask where the Gnome belongs. If the Gnome is about 4" tall, wears a red hat answers inebriated that may be Woody. Please email the Gnomads ASAP@ 5150gnome@gmail.com I have included a picture of Woody in happier times. Please study the photo and help bring Woody home.
I will not sleep peaceful until my twin is returned to The Party Gnome Official Travel Agent.

Viva Las Vegas!!

A Gnome is always on the go...
Before I could recover from the jet lag from my trip to Boston, another Gnomad invited me on a road trip. Road trip! Gnomes love road trips! So I was off to "Sin City" otherwise known as Las Vegas.
I was excited for this trip and hoped for more first. Gnomes love to explore and experience new things. Gnomes are also great backseat drivers and love to have snacks provided for drives longer than 2 hours.
I also anticipated seeing the leprechauns. Las Vegas is not known for their leprechauns, however since we would be in town during St. Patricks Day weekend I had high hopes in a visit.
Las Vegas is a mecca of free everything. Gnomes are not cheap, we just like a good deal. So off to gamble. It is an amazing thing as you gamble a waitress offers "cocktails". After a wee too many cocktails and not enough pay off from the slot machines off to bed I went. I wanted to be well rested for St. Patty's Day.
I had a blast on St. Patty's Day. I was hyper vigilant as to spot any leprechauns. It was a hoot to see so many people in green and drinking green beer. A weird observation this gnome found out is that green beer makes for green poo, so if you experience green poo after drinking green beer please don't be alarmed. I may have had a wee too much to drink, but Fremont Street in downtown Vegas was the place to be. I was also able to attend a Las Vegas wedding, and watch UCLA basketball at a sports book.
I loved Las Vegas and I hope more Gnomads have travel plans to visit in which I could tag along.
I wasn't able to visit with the leprechauns all though I did try to look for them, but after all the free cocktails everyone begins to look like a big blur to this Gnome.
Viva Las Vegas indeed!

Boston or Bust!!

Since the split from my twin one of the Gnomads asked if I would like to travel via airplane to Boston. Boston is home to many points of interest (1) Ben Affleck and Matt Damon's home town (2) Paul Revere home (3) Fenway Park home of the Boston Red Sox (4) Newbury Street and (5) Samuel Adams Beer.
I was excited to take my first flight. The Gnomad I was traveling with kept me safe in carry on luggage so not to break any Gnomad laws.
We took many sights in during our visit to Boston. We went to the New England Aquarium where I enjoyed viewing the penguins. We ate great seafood. We went to see the "Green Monster Wall" at Fenway Park the home of the Boston Red Sox. I would also like everyone to know that Gnomes practice safe sex as evident by our stop to Condom World. We also enjoyed Samuel Adams Beer at a local tavern, and stopped by the statues in Harvard Square.
It was nice to use the cities public transit system the T.
With so much sightseeing and ending everyday at the local taverns till the wee hours of the morning, I was not able to visit with the leprechauns. Maybe on another trip to Bean Town....

West and Woody go their seperate ways!

There is a time in every Gnomes life when you must say good-bye and happy trails to their twin. Gnomes give birth to twins and like all Gnomes before me I too have a twin name Woody. Since we both have very extensive travel schedules Woody and I decided that we would have to split all further travel engagements so all Gnomads could experience traveling with a Gnome.
After another of the Gnomads completed Woody and my genealogy we found that our mother had given birth to yet another set of twins. Could there be more roaming Gnomes out in the world?
Indeed there are more roaming Gnomes. Woody and I were fortune enough to found our little brother La Conte. La Conte was then reunited after a Gnomad had a Barnes and Nobel shopping trip. We are still without La Conte twin. There was talk among the Pink Yard Flamingos that La Conte twin was "allegedly" bought by another shopper, however that has not yet been confirmed or denied.

Our First Outing

My first outing took place on Sunday March 4, 2007. One of the Gnomads invited Woody and myself out for a walk. Who knew when she said walk she meant 26.2 miles. That's right these little legs finished the LA Marathon. Along our little walk Woody and I met many people from many "walks" of life. We had our picture taken with the local EMS and LAPD.

After a hard day of walking our little legs were a wee bit tired. So like any other Gnome we celebrated our new found friends and accomplishment at a eatery. Their both Woody and myself had a local cold "Sierra Nevada" beverage.
